Notes from a bridge we are still building.

Let’s start with a simple truth. We do not have this all figured out. We are learning as we go and sharing our journey here with you.

To be clear, Five Crowns Capital is real and yet it is also aspirational. It holds real assets and real companies. Some of our ownership was earned through labor and some of it has been purchased through deploying capital.

We’re building a bridge to the future we want for ourselves and for our descendants. We want them to not only inherit what we own but more importantly to inherit how we learned to think. We desire time, financial, and location freedom for ourselves and for all of them. How do we get there from where we are today?

Five Crowns Capital is less a balance sheet than a mindset. It is about seeing the bigger picture, taking calculated risk rather than no risk at all, and choosing freedom over fear, again and again, especially when fear is the easier choice.

What follows are notes from that journey. Some are lessons. Some are open questions. All of them honest.
